The 21 Day Fix Containers...Don't Freak Out!

When I first got my 21 day fix package in the mail I was all pumped up to open it up, and when I did, I though "that's it??". I am sure many of you have done the same. I am here to tell you not to worry. It looks like it is not much, but once you actually figure it out, it is more than enough!  First, Don't worry...you don't just get one of each container a day. The amount of containers you have per day depends on your calorie range. Once you figure out your calorie range, you will know how many containers per day you need. I am in the 1200-1499 calorie range, so for me I get: 4 red, 3 green, 2 purple, 2 yellow, 1 blue, 1 orange, and 2 spoons.  Once I figured out my calorie range I read through the book to see what types of foods fell into each container. 8 Tips To Stick To Your Health And Fitness Routine

Making the decision to get fit and healthy is HUGE, and something to be proud of. It means that you acknowledge that there are things you need to change in your life, and we all know that acknowledging is the most important step. The thing is, once you make that decision it can be really hard to know where to start, and especially hard to keep yourself going. I wanted to share with you 8 tips that kept me going AFTER my initial decision to start! I started and stopped many fitness journeys before my last one, which I have now stuck to for almost 3 years. Each and every time I started, I was serious about wanting to change my health and fitness habits. 3-Day Refresh Veggie Stir Fry

This is my favorite dinner option on the 3-Day Refresh Cleanse . INGREDIENTS (makes 1 serving) 1/2 tsp. olive oil 1/2 clove garlic 1/2 tsp. grated fresh ginger 1/2 cup green beans  1/2 cup sliced fresh carrot 1/2 cup sliced fresh red bell pepper 1/4 tsp. sea salt 2 Tbsp. organic vegetable broth DIRECTIONS Heat oil in medium skillet over medium heat; add garlic and ginger. Cook, stirring frequently, for 1 to 2 minutes or until fragrant. Add green beans, carrot, bell pepper, salt, and broth. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes, or until vegetables are tender-crisp.

Sometimes Transformations are Not About Weight.

When I talk about my health and fitness transformation , I often get the same reply from people, "What transformation???...you hardly had any weight to lose". I wanted to talk about this today. First off, I know that every one of you can relate to this. It doesn't matter how you look to others, it's how you feel on the inside. I could of only had one extra pound on my body, and it wouldn't have mattered. I felt bad on the inside. At first I attributed that bad feeling to weight, but as time went on and I learned more about myself, I realized that it wasn't weight at all that was making me feel bad. I like to say that yes...I had a small physical transformation, but my REAL transformation was on the inside.  Losing weight and getting a 'beachbody' , was what got me started...but it was what I got beyond it, that kept me going. The summer is filled with parties, cookouts, and get togethers. One of life's greatest joys is socializing with friends, and making new ones! But lets be honest it is hard enough sticking to a nutrition plan and eating healthy at home, it is even more difficult to stick to it at parties and restaurants. Don't worry, you don't have to hide in your house all summer long if you want to stick to your plan! You will be surprised at all the things you can enjoy when you are out with friends...the key is MODERATION! It is perfectly fine to indulge on occasion. Doing so does not mean that you have to throw your healthy eating plan out the window and give up! All it takes is a little tweaking here and there.
