What a Day of Meals Looks Like on the 3-Day Refresh.

Image
The 3-Day Refresh Cleanse came out last week, and I am sure you are all wondering what a day of meals would look like if you were to do this cleanse. I have decided to put this post together so that I can simply show you how the cleanse will go day by day.  Day 1-  (Upon waking drink 8-10 oz. of filtered water.) Breakfast(within 1 hour of waking): Shakeology blended in 1 1/4 cups filtered water. Plus 1 serving from the fruit list. I chose half of a banana and actually added it into my shake. I added ice, and cinnamon which is on the guilt-free flavorings list that they provide us. I made it the same way all 3 days. Optional: Morning Tea (at least one hour after breakfast) 1 cup unsweetened herbal or green tea. (stevia sweetener allowed) I chose not to do this because I was fine drinking my water.  Mid-Morning(at least 1 hour after morning tea): Fiber Sweep (digestive health drink) mixed in 1 cup filtered water. The first day I did not add enough

2014 Coach Summit Recap

Image
Yesterday I returned home from the infamous city of  Las Vegas. I know what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas...but not this time. I was there for the 2014 Team Beachbody coach summit. This is when beachbody coaches from all over meet in one location to attend seminars, learn about new products , and celebrate our successes with our team and friends. This was my first summit experience, and it went above and beyond any expectations that I had. There was so much information and excitement that my ADD brain is kind of on overload so I am going to describe this in the best way possible for all of you who were not able to attend, or who are interested in what this is all about.  When I first arrived at the MGM grand where the summit was being held, I was overwhelmed...in a good way. In line at the hotel waiting to check in I was surrounded by people sporting their Team Beachbody swag everywhere I looked. One guy even had P90X shaved into his head! The company hooked me up with a

Not This Time!

How many of you have ever bought a fitness program online or late night while watching an infomercial and then never used it...or even opened the box?? I know I have! I bought that ab coaster thing. Montel Williams was a GREAT salesman. I saw him talking about it late night on an informercial and he had me hooked! I got my credit card out, made the purchase and could not wait for my ab coaster to arrive so I could have abs of steal. I was so excited when it arrived! I ripped the box open, put it together and was ready to go....only I wasn't ready to go. It sat in my office and collected dust for years. It wasn't that the ab coaster didn't work, I am sure if I actually used it I would have had a 6 pack like Montel in no time but the fact of the matter is that I didn't use it. It was all great in theory, but I was NOT a great self motivator at that time. From then on I was anti at home fitness. I was afraid to spend money on anything like that, because I knew in my m

Piyo: Get Yours First, Get Results.

There has been a lot of talk on social media about a new fitness program that is coming out called Piyo. I had the chance to try a live version of this workout when I went on my teams leadership retreat, and all I can say is it is a good one! Since I have only done it once, I decided to do some research so that I could provide you all with some information about what Piyo is.  What I have learned thus far about Piyo is that: It is a high intensity, low impact workout. What that means is that it will get you ripped without all the jumping around that is involved with other workouts. This means that if you are prone to injury, or are just coming back from being injured, this program will work you out with less risk of being injured again.  Piyo fuses the muscle strengthening benefits of pilates with the core strengthening and stretching benefits of yoga, but it speeds everything up so that you still get that calorie burn People have seen fast results! It sculpts and d

Shakeology: Make it right.

When I got my first shipment of Shakeology delivered I couldn't wait to go try it out. I put some water in the blender with a couple ice cubes and the shake powder. For someone who hadn't been eating healthy , I was not impressed. It wasn't because it tasted bad, it was just nothing to write home about. It took me a little, but after a few tries I perfected it. Now I am going on two years of drinking it, and very rarely miss a day. Had I based my opinion of Shakeology on my first attempt at making it, I most likely would not still be drinking it. That is why I am writing this post with you all in case you need a little guidance making your first shake. Now I am basically addicted and pretty much freak out if I run out of Shakeology before my shipment comes in.  There are lots of good recipes to go by when making your shakes, but I will share with you my favorite. I make my shake in the morning because I am NOT a morning person and will choose sleep over breakfa

Team B Strong Transformations

So I realize that I can sit here and type about how great shakeology and the Beachbody workouts are until my fingers fall off, but that means absolutely nothing to you all unless I support those claims with actual people who have seen results. Today I want to recognize and talk about two of my coaches who have seen major results both physically, and internally by making health and fitness a priority in their lives. Meet Team B Strong coach Chelsea! Chelsea has lost 90 pounds in the past 3 years. She started her journey on her own 3 years ago by adding fitness into her life. After hitting a plateau she decided to ask for Insanity as a Christmas gift. One of the best aspects of Beachbody is that when you purchase a program from them, you get a free coach . I happened to get the pleasure of being Chelsea's Beachbody coach. She started Insanity, blew past her plateau and signed on as coach. Now she is making it part of her life to help others do what she did! She recogniz
