Apple Pie Oatmeal
1 cup of water
1 cup of unsweetened non-milk (coconut milk, almond milk)
2 apples cored and chopped
1 cup of rolled oats (bob's Red Mill gluten free oats)
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon of nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon of salt
Add all the ingredients to a medium saucepan over medium to high heat. Once it begins to bowl, reduce to a simmer stirring occasionally. Cook until it thickens (about ten minutes). Can serve in a bowl and top with extra cinnamon, nutmeg, and walnuts (optional) Lasts a couple days!
