Vegan Keto Pancakes

Image
Being vegan and new to the keto life, I have been on a search for vegan keto-friendly recipes. I hear that being vegan AND keto is one of the most restrictive diets out there, but that it IS doable if done right. Since I drink Keto OS I am actually able to put my body into ketosis without having to eat a strict ketogenic diet (phew!), so I am doubtful that I will follow a vegan keto diet, but the more vegan keto recipes I like, the better! I found this pancake recipe over at MeatfreeKeto and I will say it was absolutely delicious. The pancakes tasted like peanut butter cookies to me and totally like dessert! I would eat these every day if I could. MeatFreeKeto has a ton of awesome recipes over on their site so be sure to go check them out!!  Ingredients: 2 Tbsp unsweetened almond butter 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk 1 Tbsp ground flax  1 Tbsp coconut flour  1/2 tsp. baking powder  Instructions:  Heat your frying pan over low medium heat. Lightly oil the

WTF are Ketones?

Unless you've been living under a rock, you have probably heard of the latest hot product, exogenous ketones. Ketosis and the ketogenic diet are blowing up in the media and it may seem like the newest fad, but ketones and ketosis have been a part of humanity since the beginning of time. Ketones are actually something that our own human bodies make naturally and when your body gets into a state of something called ketosis, your body actually uses ketones for fuel. What does that mean? Basically, when your body is in ketosis, it is burning fat for energy instead of carbohydrates leading to a wide array of health benefits including weight loss, enhancing physical performance and mental performance.                                                If your body makes ketones on its own then why would you want to use exogenous ketones? Well, to get your body into a state of ketosis nutritionally, where it is burning fat as fuel, it is often very difficult and unpleasant for p

What is the Keto Reboot?

Everyone can use a little reboot from time to time right?? Tomorrow night my brother and I are doing just that with Pruvit's Keto Reboot!  What is the Keto Reboot? The Keto Reboot is a 60 hour Keto cleanse that was created to inspire and educate people to educate and really experience this crazy innovative ketone technology. It's incredibly cool to implement small life hacks that lead to such drastic health improvements. Since learning about exogenous ketones, my mind has been blown.  The Keto Reboot promotes metabolic hormone optimization, fat burning, and ketone utilization. We will be rebooting our bodies back to its natural state by taking control of unwanted cravings, preserving lean muscle mass, and maximizing our energy. Who needs the Keto Reboot?  Do you fall into diet pitfalls over and over? Need a boost in mental clarity and focus? Are you constantly hungry and fighting some major carb cravings? Do you often have a poor quality of sleep?

In The End, There's a New Beginning

This past week I made a really hard decision. After 6 years of coaching with Team Beachbody, I felt as if it was my time to move on. Although I love Beachbody products and will continue to do the workouts and nutrition plans, my soul was being pulled in another direction. About two months ago I was approached with a product from Pruvit called Keto OS. At the time I was convinced the product was the devil and wanted nothing to do with it due to things I had seen online about it being some kind of magic potion. I am someone who very strongly believes in eating clean and nutritious foods as well as making workouts and exercise a part of my everyday life.  I had been approached with ketones in the past by people pushing a quick fix, but this time was different. She wasn't talking about the quick fix of ketones, she was talking about getting off ADD medication, lifting brain fog, improving focus, energy, mood, and sleep. I figured after hearing all of that, that I should give it
