Reflecting on the Past Year

Image
I was looking at my timehop app earlier and realized that 1 year ago I went on a trip that completely changed the game for me. In two weeks I am headed to Cancun for the Beachbody Success Club trip with all my fellow coaches who are now some of my best friends. I am sure if you follow me on facebook , you are going to want to shank me in the upcoming weeks as I prepare to be on a beach, and get tan (sorry in advance). Last year at this time I was in a very different spot both in my business, and in my life. I was going on the Success Club trip, but I wasn't nearly as excited about it as I am now. Why? because it was taking me WAY outside of my comfort zone. I was someone who struggled with self-esteem, and social anxiety. I also had never met any of my teammates in person, and the only person I could find to come on the trip with me was more of an acquaintance than a close friend. From what I had seen on social media about my teammates, we were VERY different. All of these aspect

DON'T work for Beachbody!! Make Beachbody work for YOU!

Image
I'm sure you have a lot of assumptions about what a Beachbody coach is, and what they do (that is if you even know what they are). I will be straight up with you....your assumptions are wrong, and here is why.  There is no set criteria of what a coach needs to be. Of course there are guidelines we follow to make sure that we are properly representing the company, but really you can make this opportunity anything you want it to be! Aside from our 3 vital behaviors which consist of: Being a product of the product, inviting people to join us, and personal development, the coaching opportunity is a blank slate of opportunity waiting for you to create amazingness. What do I mean? I mean that the products work ...we are all representation of that. The thing is, coaching goes way beyond a product. You can make coaching whatever you want it to be! I love that each coach has their own unique niche, talent, something of value that they can give to the world. Beachbody coaching

It's Never Too Late

Image
Do you ever think about all the things you wanted to do in life and say, 'It's too late now' ? Think you are too old to go back to school? to start painting? to run a marathon? Well, cut the crap! The only time it's too late is when you are dead! I am currently reading, 'The Success Principles' by Jack Canfield, and the most recent chapter on the fundamentals of success really stuck out to me. First off, if you are looking for a good personal development book to read, get this one! Second, lose the idea that it is too late... You can achieve anything you want in life, as long as you have a couple key things. Most importantly you have to believe that you can achieve it. If you don't believe it, it won't happen. The brain is a powerful thing! It can make things happen. Ever hear of the placebo effect? When people take sugar pills that they thought were medicine and cure themselves anyway? That's some serious brain power right there

21 Day Fix Extreme Progress: Round 2 Complete!

Image
I just completed round 2 of a 3 round stint of the 21 Day Fix Extreme ! So far I am very happy with my results. I will admit I have not been 100% perfect, and I am still down 5 inches! Round 3 starts tomorrow and I am going balls to the wall. The past two rounds I have not followed the countdown to competition meal plan . I ended up doing my own variation of that, but this last round I plan to follow the countdown plan to a T. Like I said in past posts, I am preparing for a trip to Mexico, which is now 23 days away. At this point in the game when it comes to my meal plan, I would rather just keep it as simple as possible and follow the plan.  So next week I am basically eating the same thing each day. The way the competition plan is laid out, I have 1 day of regular fix extreme, 2 days countdown. I am hoping that stepping it up with the countdown plan this last round will help me really shred and see more muscle tone. We will see! I am dial in on that nutrition and u

BOD Workout Schedule

This month Beachbody released something new called Beachbody On Demand . Basically, they have a library of workouts that include some of their top programs (P90X, Insanity) streaming to your phone, laptop, or tablet if you are part of the Team Beachbody Club . The cool thing about it is that you can mix and match to create your own unique workout plan using the programs in the library! You can also do them from anywhere as long as you have an internet connection! I went ahead and took the liberty of creating you all a couple sample hybrid workout programs. At the start of my fitness journey I did two rounds of P90X, so I have a soft spot for it, and for Tony Horton! This is just an example of what you could do, but there are so many different options of where you could go with this one!  Imagine the mix and match possibilities with all of these programs at your finger tips: Insanity, P90X, P90X2, P90X3, Tony Horton 1 on 1, Insanity Asylum, Hip Hop Abs, Turbofire

21 Day Fix Extreme Chocolate Bar!

Image
Have you seen this yet or what?? My friend Melanie Mitro made my life the other night when she posted this recipe over on her blog, Committed to Getting Fit ! I am a CHOCOLHOLIC....I love it...too much...so much so that it could greatly affect my progress toward my fitness goals. I am now halfway through my second round of the 21 Day Fix Extreme and doing well, but still have another week, and then another round before my trip to Cancun. I earned a free trip with all my Beachbody coach friends just for doing our job (that's a story for another day), and my guest is my best friend Liz. The only thing is she has been training HARD CORE for a fitness competition that is happening the weekend before we leave. That means she is going to be in PRIME shape for Cancun. That is great for her (props to you Liz, you are working hard), but that also means that I need to work my butt off and prep myself for our trip. There is no way I am lying next to Liz on the beach with 3% body fa

Pride, Gratitude, and Teammates

Image
For a little over a week now I have been raising money for the LLS in honor of my friend and teammate Katy by rapping for people on my Facebook page . I have been having some serious feelings surface when I think about the fact that people are ACTUALLY donating for me to rap, and WHY I am doing it. PRIDE I have a serious sense of pride raising money for my teammate. I love the fact that I have her back, and I know she would have mine. It is one of my favorite things about coaching on the Dream Team . Yes this is our job, our careers, but it is something that I never would have even dreamed of. It is NOT every woman for themselves whether it's in our businesses or raising money for a cause. We have each others back, we are there for one another, and this is more than 'just a job'. It is a way of life...it is lifting each other up...helping each other reach goals...and living our purpose. Pride is what I am feeling as I rap for LLS. Pride in my team , Pri

3 Tips to Combat Seasonal Depression

Image
Lets face it, seasonal depression is legit. I don't care who you are, after the winter that we've been having, I know you are feeling the affects. I have always hated winter, but dealt with it by going skiing every weekend. This year I wasn't able to do that. The fact that I wasn't skiing paired with the worst Boston winter in a really really long time (might set the record this week), I was feeling the depression. Although I was feeling it, I realize that it could have been SO much worse for me had I not been working out and eating right. Today I want to share with you 3 things that you can do to help cope with seasonal depression, and also remind you that SPRING is almost here!  Tip #1 Maximize exposure to daylight!  If it's daytime every single blind and shade is WIDE open in my house. As long as the sun is shining, it will be shining through my windows. It is important to get exposure to the sun light while it is out. If it's not too cold you ca

March Sales

A little less than 3 weeks left until the official start of spring, and if you are from the northeast like myself, you are soooooooo ready! I have been trying to remind myself that even though I have 5 ft of snow outside my door, pretty soon it's shorts and tank tops. That summertime sneaks up on you quick!  We have a couple of pretty cool things going down this month within Team Beachbody including the brand new Club Membership challenge pack with on demand!  I will get right to the point, and fill you in on all that good stuff going on :) First up we have the Beachbody Club Member Challenge pack with on demand. What is on demand?? I'm glad you asked! On demand is something new that beachbody is doing where you can stream workouts right to your tablet, smart phone, or computer. If you have an internet connection, you have a workout.  The On Demand Challenge Pack comes with one months supply of Shakeology , and 3 months in the Beachbody club all for $140. B

21 Day Fix Extreme Progress

Image
I just ended my first of 3 rounds of the 21 Day Fix Extreme , and I am pretty happy with my results . I was 80% on point with the program, but a bachelorette weekend with all my friends this past week most definitely affected my progress. So for having a weekend away with my girls, in the middle of this first round, I am happy with the results The way I made my meal plan was 2 days of the extreme, 1 day of the competition plan. I didn't mind doing it this way at all! The days I did the competition plan, I wasn't hungry, although your mind can sometimes make you crave things when you aren't letting yourself have them!  So in my first round of the 21 Day Fix Extreme, my weight stayed the same (I am not expecting that to move), and I lost 3 inches. I am back on track with my eating habits, and I am starting to notice a change in my mid section which is where I am looking to improve!  2 more rounds of this, and I have no doubt that I will r
