WTF are Ketones?
Unless you've been living under a rock, you have probably heard of the latest hot product, exogenous ketones. Ketosis and the ketogenic diet are blowing up in the media and it may seem like the newest fad, but ketones and ketosis have been a part of humanity since the beginning of time. Ketones are actually something that our own human bodies make naturally and when your body gets into a state of something called ketosis, your body actually uses ketones for fuel. What does that mean? Basically, when your body is in ketosis, it is burning fat for energy instead of carbohydrates leading to a wide array of health benefits including weight loss, enhancing physical performance and mental performance.
