Keto Super Bowl Appetizer: Breadsticks & Pizza Dip

The Super Bowl is coming up and many of you have asked me to talk about what you can eat while watching the big game! I decided that over the next few weeks I am going to find and test out keto super bowl app recipes and share them with you all! I found these one's over at Ruled.me and I am impressed!! For me personally, I try to limit my cheese and dairy intake, but for a special treat like the super bowl, these hit the spot!!

Personal Pan Pizza Dip Ingredients
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ cup Rao’s tomato sauce
  • ¼ cup Parmesan cheese

Pepperoni, Peppers, & Mushrooms
  • 6 slices pepperoni, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon diced pepper
  • 2 Tablespoon diced baby Bella mushroom
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions
  1. Pre-heat oven to 350F. Measure out the cream cheese and microwave for 20 seconds until room temperature.
  2. Mix the sour cream, mayonnaise, and 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese into the cream cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Pour Mixture into baking dish
  4. Spoon Rao’s Tomato Sauce over the dish and spread out evenly.
  5. Measure out 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese and 1/4 cup parmesan cheese. Sprinkle mixture over the top of the sauce evenly, then add toppings of choice to your pizza dip.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until cheese is bubbling. Remove from the oven and let cool for a moment.
  7. Serve with some delicious keto breadsticks! 
Yields 4 servings of Personal Pan Pizza Dip. Each serving comes out to be:

Pepperoni, Peppers, & Olives: 435.5 Calories, 40.08g Fats, 5.63g Net Carbs, and 13.08g Protein
Mushroom and Peppers: 357.5 Calories, 32.69g Fats, 5.31g Net Carbs, and 10.85g Protein.




Bread Stick Base
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded, (8 oz.)
  • 3 tablespoons cream cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Extra Cheesy Toppings
  • teaspoon garlic powder
  • teaspoon onion powder
  • 3 ounces cheddar cheese
  • ¼ cup Parmesan cheese
Directions
  1. Pre-heat oven to 400F. Mix together egg and cream cheese until slightly combined. Set aside.
  2. In a bowl, combine all the dry ingredients: almond flourpsyllium husk, and baking powder.
  3. Measure out the mozzarella cheese and microwave in 20-second intervals. Stir the cheese each time you take it out of the microwave and continue microwaving until sizzling.
  4. Add the egg, cream cheese, and dry ingredients into the mozzarella cheese and mix together.
  5. Using your hands, knead the dough together. Once it is combined, set on a silpat.
  6. Press the dough flat until you have a full baking sheet worth of dough. Transfer the dough to some foil so that you can use a pizza cutter on it. Knives and sharp objects should never be used on a Silpat.
  7. Cut the dough and season per ingredients above.
  8. Bake 13-15 minutes on top rack until crisp.
  9. Serve while warm! 
This yields 6 servings of 4 Keto Breadsticks. Per serving:
  • Extra Cheesy: 314 Calories, 24.7g Fats, 3.6g Net Carbs, and 18g Protein.
